Dr. Weissman is a clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults, deals a variety of issues from assessment to treatment of psychological, behavioral and emotional problems. Dr. Weissman maintains a private practice in Chandler, Arizona. Due the current COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Weissman is only seeing clients online at this time.
With approximately 23 years experience as a clinical psychologist, and as a graduate of the California School of Professional Psychology working with a multiple modalities of treatment such as cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR, he is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are psychological testing/assessment, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, and Mood Disorders.
Dr. Weissman has served in the past as the communications representative for the Arizona Psychological Association. Dr. Weissman hold 13 years of teaching experience at the university level training Master's level clinician's. In 2002, Dr. Weissman won the Faculty of the Year Award.
Dr. Weissman practices mainly from a cognitive-behavior perspective. His therapeutic approach is to provide support and help clients effectively address personal life challenges by identify very specific underlying thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions. Dr. Weissman may also employ various behavioral methods to assist in changing behaviors. He integrates methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
